UNCG Announces Free Fireworks Show After Men's Soccer Game Friday
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNCG athletics department will hold a free fireworks show following the men’s soccer game Friday night against Atlantic Coast Conference power NC State. Friday’s game is set for an 8 p.m. start at the UNCG Soccer Stadium with the fireworks show following the game.
Additionally, the athletics department will hand out Mellow
Mushroom Mystery Gift Cards to the first 500 fans in attendance to
the game. Fans will be able to find out their gift card
denominations by visiting Mellow Mushroom at 609 South Elm Street
in Greensboro.
UNCG and NC State have met nine times prior to Friday’s contest with the Spartans holding a 5-4-0 advantage in the all-time series. The teams last met in 2003 with NC State taking home a 2-1 victory at the Big Four Tournament in Charlotte. The Wolfpack last visited UNCG in 2000 when the Spartans posted a 6-0 victory over NC State at the Big Four Tournament.
