More than $25,000 raised at UNCG Relay for Life
GREENSBORO, N.C. – More than $25,000 was raised at UNCG’s Relay for Life, held April 8 at the UNCG Soccer Stadium. Spartan athletics accounted for more than $5,500 of the grand total.
Overall, 910 people participated in the event. The UNCG athletic department was represented by members of the men’s and women’s soccer teams, men’s and women’s basketball teams, softball, volleyball, women’s golf and cheer and dance teams. The Spartans’ other athletic teams were on the road during the event.
The men’s soccer team was the top fundraising team of all of the 70 Relay teams, bringing in $2,085. Junior Will Mack and coach Justin Maullin were the top fundraisers out of all Relay participants, personally bringing in $620 and $525, respectively.
