GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNCG athletics department, in conjunction with UNCG Dining, announce the debut of Chalk Talks with men’s basketball head coach Wes Miller beginning this Friday at Noon in the newly-renovated Fountain View Dining.
Chalk talks are a chance for UNCG students and the general public to have lunch and listen to Coach Miller give a preview of the next home basketball game. Fans will also have the chance to ask the coach questions. There will be drawings and giveaways held on each date as well.
“I am excited to team up with UNCG Dining Services this year for Chalk Talks,” Miller said. “This will be a great way to kick off each home game day on campus and I look forward to the interaction with our students and fans as we all get excited for UNCG Basketball.”
Chalk talks will last approximately 30 minutes and take place on the day of game, if a game falls during the week, or on Fridays for weekend games. Chalk Talks, which take place only while classes are in session during the 2013-14 season, are scheduled for the following days:
November 1 at Noon
November 8 at Noon
November 12 at 12:30 p.m.
November 20 at Noon
January 16 at 12:30 p.m.
January 30 at 12:30 p.m.
February 14 at Noon
February 19 at Noon
February 21 at Noon
Fountain View Dining is an all you can eat buffet style dining facility, which is open to the public. Cost is $8.25/person on weekdays and $7 on Fridays if you wear blue and gold as part of Blue and Gold Fridays. You can also receive a discount for using Flex dollars.
