GREENSBORO, N.C. – Former UNCG women's tennis player Taylor Mattox will be officiating lines at the US Open main draw starting Monday, August 26 up until the men's quarterfinal round in Flushing Meadows, New York.

Mattox attended UNCG playing NCAA Division I tennis for the Spartans from 2007-09. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in pharmacology and toxicology at East Carolina. Mattox also obtained her Intercollegiate Tennis Association certification.

In 2012, Mattox was awarded a USTA wild card for the Winston-Salem Open calling lines at the tournament. She also was a chair umpire for the 2013 ACC championships in Cary, N.C.

Mattox was selected in May to be a line judge for the US Open qualifier and learned that she earned the right to officiate the main draw starting Monday. She will be continuing to work till Sept. 5th, which is the men's quarterfinal round.
