LEXINGTON, Va. – UNC Greensboro track wrapped up the Southern Conference Indoor Championship Sunday at VMI-Corps Physical Training Facility. The Spartans claimed another eight points on the men’s side, including a third-place finish by Juan Rodriguez in the 800-meter.

Rodriguez turned in a personal-best 1:54.60 in the event, the fourth best mark in program history right behind former great and 2016 silver medalist Paul Chelimo, to earn All-SoCon honors.

In the Mile, Taylor Delaney (5:08.09) and Colin Alexander (4:26.95) finished in the top-10 in the finals of the event.

The other two points for the male Spartans came in the 4x400-meter relay. Jonathan Timothy, Daniel Rust and Nicholas and Joseph Thoma came in seventh-place with a time of 3:30.27.

In the 5,000-meters, three Spartans set new career-bests: Thomas Knepshield (15:30.16), Dalton Miles (15:39.38) and Kathryn Anderson (18:30.39). All three earned All-Freshman distinctions in the event as Knepshield and Miles had the top-two times for freshmen. Nicholas Thoma (800-meter) and Chandler McCaslin (mile) also earned All-Freshmen team accolades for their performances on Saturday's day of competition.

UNCG will begin their outdoor season on the weekend of March 8-9.
