GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNC Greensboro track stayed in Greensboro to run in the Aggie Invitational Friday and Saturday at Irwin Belk Track.
Sophomore Juan Rodriguez won his heat in the 800-meters with the fifth-fastest time ever for a UNCG outdoor performance of 1:53.69, which was also a personal record. Sophomore Weston Clayton set a new personal-best by close to two seconds with 1:54.52 that ranks in top-10 all-time for UNCG outdoor performances, and freshman Joseph Thoma also notched a collegiate-best.
In the women’s 800-meter, Kassidy Dill also won her heat with a personal-record time of 2:19.68. Madison Owings turned in a personal-best as well. Owings and Ashlyn Dalton both recorded personal records in the 1,500-meter.
In the men’s 1,500-meter, Trelek Jones and Joseph Thoma won their heats with personal records. Nicholas Thoma and Jevon Neal also had personal-bests in the event.
UNCG returns to action next weekend racing at the Duke Invitational.
