CHARLOTTE – UNC Greensboro track finished up its events in the final day of the 49er Classic at the Irwin Belk Track & Field Center Saturday afternoon.
In the women’s 3,000-meter, Ariana Garcia was the Spartans’ top performer with a personal-best time of 10:15.86, a 33-second improvement of her previous top time.
. Also in the event, Chandler McCaslin set a personal record, and Kathryn Anderson and Holly Mordoff recorded the top-two times in their section as Mordoff set a new collegiate-best by 12 seconds. On the men’s side of the event, Dylan Christopher, Dalton Miles and Trelek Jones all set personal-records.
In the 4x800-meter relay, the women (Taylor Delaney, Kassidy Dill, Josie McGee and Madison Owings won the event while the men (Juan Rodriguez, Nicholas Thoma, Weston Clayton and Jonathan Timothy) were runner-up in the event.
UNCG returns to action next weekend in High Point at the HPU VertKlasse Meeting.
