GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNCG will stay in the Triad and compete in the HPU VertKlasse Meeting all day on Friday. Originally scheduled for two days, the meet will just run on Friday due to expected inclement weather on Saturday.

In the 800-meter-race on the men’s side, Juan Rodriguez and Jonathan Timothy (Greenville, N.C.) will run at 1:00 p.m. In the 1,500-meter at 4:40 p.m. William Sandin (Raleigh, N.C./Broughton) will run in his section. Ewan Hynes (Cornelius, N.C./William Amos Hough) will participate in his first collegiate 5,000-meter at 6 p.m.

On the women’s side Kelsey Barrett (Huntsville, Ala./Buckhorn) and Kassidy Dill (Milford, Maine/Orono) will be in the 1,500-meter at 4:20 p.m. Kayla Contreras (Ravensdale, Wash./Tahoma), Ariana Garcia (Beulaville, N.C./East Duplin), Malea Smith (Davidson, N.C./William Amos Hough), Holly Mordoff (Silver Spring, Md./Clarksburg) and Lefler McManus will have their first 5,000-meter of the season at 5:05 p.m. Ashlyn Dalton (Mastic, N.Y./Eastport South Manor Jr./Sr) will be in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at 2:55 p.m.
