Track Runs in Raleigh Relays and Fred Hardy Invite 03-31-2018

RALEIGH, N.C./RICHMOND, Va. – UNCG track competed in both the Raleigh Relays and Fred Hardy Invitational on Saturday.

In Raleigh Luke Sumerford (Greensboro, N.C./Grimsley) turned in his season opening 10,000-meter-race with a new PR of 31:22.58.

At the Fred Hardy Invitational, Kayla Contreras (Ravensdale, Wash./Tahoma) set a collegiate personal record in 3,000-meter-race, winning her section and placing 10th for Division I race. Ewan Hynes (Cornelius, N.C./William Amos Hough) placed second in his Division I race in 3,000-meter and matched his best time.

UNCG will head to nearby High Point for its next meet on Friday and Saturday, the HPU Vertklasse Meeting.
