GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNCG track is set to run in two meets over this weekend, the Raleigh Relays on Friday and Saturday and the Fred Hardy Invitational on just Saturday.
Richmond serves as the host for the Fred Hardy Invitational while NC State operates the Raleigh Relays. Both schools will have live results and streams that can be found at UNCGSpartans.com. The stream for the Raleigh Relays we be through ACC Network +, and the Fred Hardy Invitational we be available through a 48-hour paid subscription.
The Raleigh Relays is one the most prestigious and biggest meets in the country this weekend. Over 100 Division I schools will be sending athletes to participate.
On Friday three Spartans will participating in events at the Raleigh Relays. Taylor Delaney (Hope Mills, N.C./South View) will be running in her first 5,000-meter-race of the outdoor season in section one of seven at 9 a.m. Kaitlyn Stone (Winston-Salem, N.C./West Stokes) will be in section two of two in the 10,000-meter at 8:45 p.m. Juan Rodriguez will run his first ever collegiate 1,500-meter in section three of 10 at 3:30 p.m.
The following day Luke Sumerford (Greensboro, N.C./Grimsley) will run in his first 10,000-meter of the outdoor season at 10 a.m. in section three of three.
In the Fred Hardy Invitational three Spartans will be participating, all in the 3,000-meter. Kayla Contreras (Ravensdale, Wash./Tahoma) and Ashlyn Dalton (Mastic, N.Y./Eastport South Manor Jr./Sr) will be running in their event at 2:40 p.m. Ewan Hynes (Cornelius, N.C./William Amos Hough) will be in the men’s event right afterwards.
