GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNCG men’s and women’s track and field returns to JDL FastTrack in Winston-Salem for the JDL College Dual Meet Madness on Sunday at 11:00 a.m.

The Spartans last competed at the Wake Forest Invitational last Saturday. The women competed in four different event finals while the men had three.

Ashlyn Dalton (Mastic, N.Y./Eastport South Manor Jr./Sr.), Malea Smith (Davidson, N.C./William Amos) (2:29.11), Anna Habich and Taylor Delaney (Hope Mills, N.C./South View) placed fourth in the distance medley-run at a time of 13:31.10. In the 800-meter Josie McGee (Apex, N.C./Apex) got 11th place at 2:28.27, and Kassidy Dill (Milford, Maine/Orono) (2:35.56) was 21st. Ariana Garcia (Beulaville, N.C./East Duplin) earned 11th place in the mile with a time of 5:28.29 while Kelsey Barrett (Hunstville, Ala./Buckhorn) (5:42.08) was 21st. In the 3,000 meter Holly Mordoff (Silver Spring, Md./Clarksburg) ran a time of 11:10.07 for 12th place, and Lefler McManus (11:23.66) got 22nd.

The relay team of Alex Roy (Clayton, N.C./Clayton), Logan Sprinkle (King, N.C./West Stokes), Juan Rodriguez and Colyn Todd (New Castle, Del./Roman Catholic) placed eighth in the distance medley with a time of 11:19.80. Ewan Hynes (Cornelius, N.C./William Amos Hough) placed 26th in the mile-run while Weston Clayton (Raleigh, N.C./Millbrook) had a time of 4:47.25 for 31st. Preston Gaines registered a time of 56.03 for 48th place in the 400-meter. 

The Spartans have competed at JDL FastTrack in all three meets so far this season, and this will be the fourth of seven at the facility. UNCG will return to JDL FastTrack for the Camel City Invitational on Feb. 2-3.
