Jordy Kuiper Named To NABC Honors Court
GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNCG redshirt junior forward Jordy Kuiper (Groningen, Netherlands/Canaries Academy) has been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court, recognizing men’s collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the past season. The NABC Honors Court recognizes the talents and gifts that these men possess off the court and the hard work they exhibit in the classroom.
Kuiper owns a 3.50 cumulative GPA in social sciences/special programs at UNCG. Last season, he played in eight games before suffering a season-ending injury that limited his playing time to only 99 minutes. During his UNCG career, he has played in 55 games, including four starts. He was also an Allstate NABC Good Works Team nominee for his work with the Bas van de Goor Foundation and the JDRF.
To be eligible to the NABC Honors Court, a student-athlete must be: 1) a junior or senior varsity player; 2) Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher at the end of the 2015-16 academic year; 3) Students must have matriculated at least one year at the institution; 4) Member of the NCAA Division I, II, II or NAIA Division I or II with a NABC member coach.
