GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNCG volleyball, women’s track and women’s cross country teams were honored with NCAA Public Recognition Awards for finishing in the top 10 percent of all squads in their respective sports in the NCAA Division I Academic Progress Rate for the 2015-16 academic year, it was announced on Thursday. The three UNCG teams were among 23 Southern Conference teams to earn the honor.
The Spartan volleyball program was one of three volleyball programs in the SoCon to earn the honor while the women’s track and cross country programs were one of two in the league to earn the accolade.

ETSU – men’s golf, men’s tennis, women’s golf, volleyball
Furman – men’s soccer, men’s track, women’s soccer
Mercer – men’s golf, women’s soccer
Samford – men’s cross country, volleyball
Chattanooga – women’s basketball, women’s cross country, women’s tennis, women’s track
Western Carolina – men’s golf
Wofford – baseball, men’s golf, rifle, women’s basketball
