GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNC Greensboro men’s basketball will host NC State on Sunday, Dec. 15 at the Greensboro Coliseum. The game concludes a home-and-home series with the Wolfpack.
The first game of the series between the two North Carolina schools came on Dec. 16, 2017, when the Spartans wiped away a 14-point deficit to score a historic 81-76 victory at PNC Arena. The victory was the Spartans’ third-ever against an Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) opponent and the first against one of the four ACC teams in North Carolina.
The matchup will mark the first time the Spartans have hosted an ACC opponent since Nov. 11, 2016, when Virginia came to the Greensboro Coliseum. The game will mark UNCG’s 62nd meeting against an ACC foe and the team’s first since the five-point victory over NC State in 2017.
Last season, UNCG set numerous program records including total victories (29) en route to the No. 1-overall seed in the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) where the Spartans defeated Campbell in the first round before falling to Lipscomb.
The Wolfpack, meanwhile, won 24 games last season – their most since the 2012-13 campaign – before also having their season ended by Lipscomb in the NIT.
The best way to reserve your spot for the game is through season tickets, which are available now and begin as low as $139. Additional ticket plans will be announced later this summer.
