GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNC Greensboro women’s basketball led wire-to-wire in its return to Fleming Gymnasium on Sunday afternoon after a two-game road swing, as the Spartans defeated Maryland Eastern Shore 86-48.
With the victory, the Spartans are now 2-2 on the season.
In the first quarter, UNCG doubled up Maryland Eastern Shore 18-9 in scoring, as guards Cece Crudup and Nadine Soliman paired for 10 points. The Spartans would then take a 17-point lead into the halftime break at 44-27. In the second half, UNCG outscored the Hawks 42-21 to claim the 33-point victory.

--Guard Alexus Willey matched her career-high in scoring with 18 points, which was previously set on Dec. 5, 2016.
--Guard/forward Te’ja Twitty matched her personal best in steals (four), a mark she’s hit three previous times in her career to date.
