GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNCG women’s basketball welcomes the Murray State Racers to Fleming Gymnasium for the first time in program history tomorrow night at 7. The Spartans enter at 4-5, coming off of a loss at No. 14 Duke last Thursday. Murray State is 2-6, dropping two-straight games a to ETSU and Alabama A&M.

Tomorrow’s game will feature live stats and a video stream. Stats are available on the UNCG women’s basketball schedule page, as well as uncgstats.com. The video stream will be live on ESPN3 and the WatchESPN app, with Jason Patterson and Phil Cox on the call.

UNCG and the Racers have met just one other time, resulting in an 81-70 Racer win last season in Murray, Kentucky. Murray State was picked to finish eighth in the Ohio Valley Conference at the start of the season, with Ke’Shunan James earning Preseason All-Ohio Valley Conference honors.

Two Spartans average double figures in points, led by Nadine Soliman (Cairo, Egypt/Mokattam Language School) and her 13.0 points per game average. Soliman was UNCG’s lone honoree on the Preseason All-Southern Conference squad. Alexus Willey (Waldorf, Md./Riverdale Baptist) averages 10.3 points per game and leads the Spartans with 15 made 3-pointers.

On the glass, Ije Ajemba (Lanham, Md./Old Dominion) is one of the top rebounders in the country. She currently leads the SoCon with 99 total rebounds, averaging 11.0 per contest. That per game average ranks 18th in the nation and her total rebounds ranks 20th. Ajemba adds 8.4 points per game. Te’ja Twitty (Rutherfordton, N.C./Rutherfordton-Spindale) hauls down 5.0 rebounds per game and chips in 8.3 points per game.

Entering tomorrow’s game, Murray State has earned two wins on the season. The Racers defeated Northern Kentucky and Bethel at home. On the road this season, they are currently 0-4, losing contests at Evansville, Lipscomb, Louisville and Alabama A&M. Murray State is familiar with the SoCon, hosting the ETSU Bucs last Wednesday. ETSU came out of Murray with a 96-68 victory, with four Bucs scoring in double figures.

Ke’Shunan James leads the Racers with a 21.9 points per game average. That average ranks 16th in the nation and second in the Ohio Valley Conference. James adds 8.6 rebounds per game and dished out a team-best 33 assists. Bria Bethea and Abria Gulledge both average double figures, going for 15.1 and 13.1, respectively. Bethea shoots 40-percent from three-point range and hauls down 5.3 rebounds per game. Abria has hit a team-high 21 three-pointers and shoots 41-percent from the field.
