GREENSBORO, N.C. – The 2019 Spartan Madness event Thursday night presented by Block 43 once again was a massive hit with the UNC Greensboro student body, as the event drew a standing-room capacity crowd in Fleming Gymnasium. The annual event helps kick off excitement surrounding the UNCG men's and women's basketball seasons.
A slightly altered schedule this year featured player introductions and on-court events followed by a special hour-long concert performed by LightSkinKeisha and Young Nudy.

Both teams will begin their seasons on Tuesday, Nov. 5, as the women's team will host Richmond for a 5:30 p.m. tip-off in Fleming Gymnasium while the men's team will face North Carolina A&T for a 7 p.m. start in the Greensboro Coliseum.
