GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNC Greensboro women’s basketball (6-10, 0-1 Southern Conference) finishes a three-game road trip with a trip to Spartanburg, S.C., to face Wofford (9-7, 1-0 SoCon) Saturday at 2 p.m.

The Spartans started the SoCon schedule with a close 64-61 loss at Furman Thursday night. Junior forward Te’ja Twitty recorded a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds and junior guard Nadine Soliman recorded a game-high 26 points.
Soliman leads the team with 19.1 points per game, which leads Southern Conference and ranks 37th in the NCAA, and averages 7.4 rebounds, which ranks third in the SoCon, 1.9 steals, which ranks fourth in the conference, and 2.1 assists, while junior forward Te’ja Twitty averages 12.3 points, which ranks ninth in the SoCon, and 8.2 rebounds, which ranks second in the conference and Boyd averages 8.8 points, which ranks 15th in the SoCon and 7.2 rebounds, which ranks fourth in the conference.
The Spartans lead the SoCon in field goal percentage defense (36.8 percent), rebounding margin (3.1), scoring defense (56.4), which ranks 30th in the country and three-point field goal defense (22.7 percent), which ranks sixth in the country.
UNCG holds a 35-12 advantage and has won the last three matchups against Wofford, including sweeping the series last season.
Wofford has won three of the last four games, including the last two games. The Terriers defeated Western Carolina 91-65 the last time out in the SoCon opener. The Terriers are led by Chloe Wanink with 18.9 points per game and averages 4.3 rebounds, while Jackie Carman averages 13.9 points and Jamari McDavid leads the team with 5.3 rebounds per game and averages 10.6 points.
The Spartans return home for a three-game homestand starting with Samford Thursday at 7 p.m. in Fleming Gymnasium.
