Brooke Long is in her second season on Trina Patterson's staff as the Director of Basketball Operations in 2017-18. She runs the day-to-day operations of the women's basketball program at UNCG.

Prior to making the move to the Gate City, Long spent two seasons as an assistant at Christopher Newport where she helped guide them to a 24-5 overall record and an NCAA Division III Sweet Sixteen appearance in 2015-16. In her first season she helped CNU to a 17-win season and assisted with recruiting, film exchange and basketball operations.

Long began her coaching career at Keene State College after a standout basketball career. She played her rookie year at Longwood before playing two seasons at NCAA Division II Armstrong State. She finished her playing career as a member of Franklin Pierce's NCAA Tournament team after battling a pair of ACL injuries. Long brings a plethora of knowledge after playing both Division I & II basketball and coaching at the Division III level.
