With three-straight seasons shattering the program record for victories, UNC Greensboro men’s basketball enters the 2019-20 season with high expectations. The Spartans check in at No. 2 in the Preseason Southern Conference Coaches and Media polls after a year in which the league had four teams – UNCG included – in the top 100 in NET Rankings. 

The Spartans will open non-conference play at home against North Carolina A&T before traveling to Lawrence, Kan., to take on No. 3 Kansas. UNCG’s non-conference schedule is also highlighted by road trips to Georgetown (Nov. 30), Radford (Dec. 7) and Vermont (Dec. 21) along with home dates against NC State (Dec. 15) and Northern Kentucky (Dec. 18).

Keyshaun Langley
Position: Guard 

Height: 6-1

Weight: 165

Previous School: Southwest Guilford

Langley averaged 13.5 points and 7.2 assists per game during his senior season at Southwest Guilford in High Point, N.C. 

He helped lead the Cowboys to two state titles in three varsity seasons at the school (16-17 and 18-19).

He wears No. 0.

Kobe Langley
Position: Guard 

Height: 6-1

Weight: 165

Previous School: Southwest Guilford

Like his brother, Langley is a product of Southwest Guilford High School in High Point. 

He won two 4A state championships in high school (16-17 and 18-19) and averaged 11.5 points per game as a senior.

He wears No. 3. 

Khyre Thompson
Position: Forward

Height: 6-6

Weight: 175

Previous School: Wesleyan Academy

After not appearing in any game action last season, Thompson is back in 2019-20 as a redshirt freshman. 

The 6-foot-6 forward is a native of nearby Kernersville, as he attended Wesleyan Academy his last two years of high school before choosing to attend UNCG. 

He wears No. 12. 

Dericko Williams

Position: Forward

Height: 6-8

Weight: 220

Previous School: Winston-Salem Prep

The Kinston, N.C., native concluded his high school career at Winston-Salem Prep. 

Williams played on CP3’s EYBL team with the Langley twins and chose UNCG over Arkansas, Houston, Kansas State, and North Carolina.

He wears No. 15

Arnas Adomavicius

Position: Guard

Height: 6-4

Weight: 200

Previous School: Kaunas Jesuit Gymnasium

Adomavicius comes to UNCG from Vilnius, Lithuania. He averaged 9.2 points per game at Zalgiris Kaunas before arriving in Greensboro. In 2018, the 6-foot-4 guard was on the U18 Lithuanian National Team. 

He wears No. 22. 

Bas Leyte

Position: Forward

Height: 6-10

Weight: 220

Previous School: New Hampton Prep 

Originally from Netherlands, Leyte made his way to UNCG from New Hampton High School in New Hampshire. 

The 6-foot-10 forward has suited up for the Dutch National Team (U18) and joins senior Malik Massey as the second New Hampton product on UNCG’s roster.

He wears No. 33.
