GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNC Greensboro men’s basketball Head Coach Wes Miller has announced the signing of Arnas Adomavicius to a National Letter of Intent. Adomavicius joins an incoming freshman class that also includes Keyshaun and Kobe Langley along with Bas Leyte and Dericko Williams.
“Arnas is a versatile perimeter player that has already proven he can compete at a high level of basketball,” Miller said. “We're impressed with how he performed with the Lithuanian U18 National Team last summer, as well as his level of play this past season with the Zalgiris Kaunas youth program.
“As we got to know him as a young man it became clear that he fit our program not only as a player, but also in the way that he values a college education."
Adomavicius is coming to UNCG after spending time with Zalgiris Kaunas this past season where he averaged 9.2 points per game along with 2.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists per contest.
Additionally, Adomavicius appeared in seven games with the Lithuanian National Team in the 2018 U18 FIBA European Basketball Championships where he averaged eight points per game.
In Lithuania’s first game against Serbia in the group stage, Adomavicius scored a tournament-high 14 points along with grabbing three rebounds and dishing out three assists.
Adomavicius also reached a double-digit scoring total (13) against Great Britain.
