Incoming Freshman Holly Behrends Named AAU All-American 07-05-2017

ORLANDO, Fla. – Incoming freshman volleyball player Holly Behrends (Oswego, Ill./Oswego) was named an AAU All-American at the 18-Open National Championship last week in Orlando, Fla. 

Behrends, who competes for the Mizuno Sports Performance 18-Elite Club team finished up as the runner-up in the 18-Open division.  Of 350 participants, 14 were named as All-Americans during the tournament.  Joining her as AAU All-American selections included her teammates Martha Konovodoff, and Ashley Shook. 

The Spartans open the 2017 season at home as they host the Spartan Spiketacular, hosting a match between Wake Forest and Morgan State, before hosting UMASS-Lowell in the home opener at 7:30 p.m.
