GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNCG Volleyball Head Coach Corey Carlin has announced a coaches clinic to be held on Friday, April 21st, from 2:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Clinic attendees will also be welcome to return and watch the UNCG spring volleyball tournament the following day, April 22nd beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Both events will take place in Fleming Gymnasium on the campus of UNCG (1361 Walker Ave. Greensboro, NC 27403).
The preferred registration deadline for the clinic is Monday, April 17th. Registration cost covers a T-Shirt and dinner for the evening of the clinic.
Specific on-court sessions will include: ball control/passing progressions, attacking progressions, team offensive systems, team defensive systems and setter training. Attendees will then have the chance to watch Coach Carlin, and Assistant Coaches Morgan Salow and CJ Allard in action as UNCG will participate in a short team practice demonstrating how all of these facets can be utilized to make your team training more effective.
In addition to the on-court training demonstrations, clinic attendees will also have the opportunity to learn from UNCG's Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach Kelly Self about physical training specifically for volleyball player performance.
Dinner will follow the team practice, along with a classroom session in which Coach Carlin will discuss philosophies on managing a volleyball program. A question and answer session with Coach Carlin will follow the classroom session to conclude the clinic.
