GREENSBORO, N.C. – Women’s tennis head coach Ale Guerra has announced the addition of Louisiana-native Emily Ory for the 2017-18 academic year.  Ory comes to Greensboro after playing for three years at the Louisiana Connections Academy.

Ory is ranked as a four-star recruit on tennisrecruiting.net and is ranked in the top 50 of the southern region.  She was Louisiana Tennis Association’s champion in the 12, 14, 16 and 18 divisions.  As a fifth grader, she was a Louisiana High School State Semi-Finalist.

“I am very excited for Emily to be part of our Spartan family.” Coach Guerra said, “The moment I watched Emily play, I knew she had the energy and the work ethic of a true Spartan.”

Women’s tennis opens the spring season Feb. 4th as they host the UNC Asheville Bulldogs at 1:00 p.m.
