GREENSBORO, N.C.– UNC Greensboro’s men’s tennis team continues the fall season with a trip to Charlotte for the 49ers Fall Invitational this weekend.

The tournament starts Friday and concludes Sunday at the Halton-Wagner Tennis Complex.  Nine teams are competing at the tournament including Charlotte, Davidson, Elon, Gardner-Webb, UNC Asheville, South Carolina, Wake Forest and Wofford.

The doubles start Friday at 9 a.m., while the singles start at noon.  

In the tournament …
Ollie Palmer and Ian Melnik plays in the A1 singles, while Nico Grewe plays in the A2 singles and Roger Rogowski and Jack Burkill plays in the B1 singles.  Logan Blaser and Eric Whisnant plays in the C1 singles, while Melnik and Knapp pairs up to play in the A1 doubles, Grewe and Palmer plays in the A2 doubles and Burkill and Rogowski and Whisnant and Wyett plays in the B1 doubles.

The Spartans in 2018 …
The Spartans last competed at the ITA Carolinas Regional from Oct. 12-16, where Palmer advanced to the third round of the consolation bracket.

The Spartans finish the fall season with a trip to Winston-Salem, N.C., for the Wake Forest Invitational from Nov. 9-11.
