ELON, N.C.– Logan Blaser of the UNC Greensboro Men’s Tennis team, won the Powell Singles consolation bracket after defeating Will Hart of Appalachian State 6-3, 1-0, retired on the final day of the Elon Invitational Sunday.
Ollie Palmer fell to Inaki Crespo of Virginia Commonwealth 7-5, 7-6 (4) in the championship of the Maroon Singles bracket, while Ian Melnik fell to William Karpriski of James Madiosn 6-4, 6-2 in the championship of the Phoenix Singles bracket.
Playing an extra match, Roger Rogowski fell to Jacob Bicknell of Elon 7-5, 6-4 in the White Singles Bracket.
Palmer and Melnik paired up in an extra match in the Maroon Doubles bracket and fell to Appalachian State’s doubles duo of Zion Heaven and Milo Bergeron 8-5 and also playing an extra match in the Gold Doubles bracket, Jack Burkill and Cooper Wyett fell to Elon’s doubles team of Felipe Osses-Konig and Bicknell 8-5.
Whisnant and Rogowski paired up in the Phoenix Doubles bracket to defeat Old Dominion’s doubles team of Samuel Pearlman and Bradley Mittleman 8-4 in an extra match.
The men’s tennis team is back in action next weekend for the UNCW All Invitational.
