GREENSBORO, N.C. –UNC Greensboro men’s golf has announced its 2019-20 schedule, which includes three hosted tournaments. In addition to the annual Grandover Collegiate and Martin Downs Collegiate tournaments, the Spartans this season will also be hosting the TPC Dorado Beach Collegiate in Puerto Rico Feb. 23-25, 2020.
The Spartans will open the season at the Badger Invitational (Sept. 8-10) before participating in Rod Myers Invitational (Sept. 14-15).
The month of October will begin with the Wolfpack Intercollegiate (Oct. 5-6) before the Spartans will split the weekend of Oct. 14-15 at the Crooked Stick Invitational and the Elon Phoenix Invitational where UNCG will be represented by individuals.
UNCG will then close out fall play with the Grandover Collegiate, a tournament the Spartans won last year for the first time in program history by 10 strokes.
Spring action will begin with the Martin Downs Collegiate, which is taking place Feb. 14-16 at Osprey Creek Golf Course in Palm City, Fla. UNCG also took home the team championship at the Martin Downs Collegiate last season while Nick Lyerly won the individual championship.
After Martin Downs Collegiate and TPC Dorado Beach Collegiate, the Spartans will head to South Carolina to participate in the General Hacker Championship (March 9-10) before closing out regular season play at the Linger Longer Invitational (March 20-22) and the Irish Creek Intercollegiate (April 10-11).
UNCG will be seeking a third-straight Southern Conference Championship at the 2020 edition of the league tournament taking place April 19-21 at Reynolds Plantation in Greensboro, Ga.
