GREENSBORO, N.C.- UNC Greensboro’s men’s golf team completed its appearance at the Windon Memorial Classic at Knollwood Club in Lake Forest, Ill., shooting a 296 in the third round on Monday.

The Spartans finished the tournament in 15th place with a three-day score of 904 (305-303-296).

Junior Jonathan Brightwell started the day strong, as he birdied the first three holes of the round before finishing the day at two-under 70. Brightwell also sunk a birdie on hole No. 8 before closing out the tournament. Brightwell finished the tournament tied for 17th place at 217 (73-74-70). 

Senior Bryce Hendrix finished the third round with a one-over 73, as he recorded four birdies, three bogeys and one double-bogey to finish the tournament at nine-over 225 (77-75-73).

As for reigning SoCon Freshman of the Year Nick Lyerly, he finished the afternoon at a four-over 76 to conclude the two days of action at 227 (76-76-75).

Junior Grant Powell, meanwhile, ended his second tournament of the season at 240 (79-78-83) and Zack Swanson shot a 244 (83-83-78).

The Spartans will return to the course to participate in the Wolfpack Fall Intercollegiate that will take place on Oct. 6-7 at Lonnie Poole Golf Course in Raleigh, N.C.
