KANSAS CITY, Mo. – UNCG women’s soccer has earned the United Soccer Coaches (formerly NSCAA) Team Academic Award for the 2017-18 academic year. The Team Academic Award recognizes exemplary performance as a team in the classroom with a composite grade point of average of 3.0 or better on a 4.0 scale for all players on the roster.

This year’s award marks the 14th time in UNCG women’s soccer history that the Spartans have earned the honor. UNCG is one of 487 teams to earn the honor.

The Spartans placed 18 student-athletes on the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll for the 2017-18 season and had eight members named to the SoCon All-Academic team.

United Soccer Coaches annually celebrates the academic achievements of high school and college soccer teams whose student-athletes collectively demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their studies over the course of a full school year.
