GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNCG women’s soccer has added Anna Bryant and Carolina Fiorella to its 2018 recruiting class, head coach Michael Coll announced on Monday. Bryant and Fiorella join the initial group of nine signed on Feb. 7: Ashley Avelino, Ashley Bido, Isabelle Blomdahl, Kayla Campbell, Seraiah Dunham, Jordin Mosley, Rachel Rouse, Nicole Souply and Gracie Timbario. 

Bryant is a goalie from Elon, North Carolina. Playing under head coach Rafael Pecanha, she has lettered each year at Western Alamance High School. She has played club ball three years for Greensboro United Soccer Association for coach Guy Garguilo and helped the team win the Clash Tournament.

A member of the National and Spanish Honor Societies and Dream Team, she has been named to the Academic All-Triad 3A Conference. She plans to major in Biology. Her parents, Judy and Roger, are alumni of UNCG.

Fiorella is a forward from Virginia Beach, Virginia. Lettering each year so far at Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School, she has been a team captain in both seasons as an upperclassman. Under head coach Paul Bleier, she garnered first team all-state her freshman and sophomore seasons, First Team All-TCIS Conference her first three years and Second Team All-Tidewater her freshman year. She helped the Crusaders to a second-place finish in the conference and state semi-finals in her first season back to the state playoffs the next two years. In her freshman year she also led the Tidewater area in points with 22 goals and 15 assists.

For the past three years Fiorella has played club ball with Beach FC Red under coach Max Moore. She assisted the team to a second-place finish at the 2016 Disney Showcase and also competed in the Spring Classic Tournament, Sun Cup, Greensboro Labor Day Tournament, CASL Showcase, WAGS, CCL Showcase and Jefferson Cup. She was selected to the ODP State Team from 2014-16 and attended the ODP Region Camp in Rhode Island in 2015. Before playing for Beach FC Red she was on the Hampton Roads Strikers under coach Kevin Smith from 2010-15. 

Fiorella is a member of the National Honor and Latin Honor Societies. She was awarded a silver medal for her score on the National Latin Exam her freshman-junior seasons and give First Honors her first two years and Second Honors the following year. Currently with a 3.8 GPA, she plans to major in Psychology.
