GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNCG women’s soccer head coach Michael Coll has announced the addition of former Santa Clara University Bronco, Emily Jensen for the 2017 season.  Jensen, who enters with two years experience at Santa Clara, is a defender from Nelson, New Zealand.

Jensen played in three matches as a freshman at Santa Clara and made her collegiate debut against Arizona.  She played for the U-20 New Zealand Women’s National Team prior to her enrollment at Santa Clara.  She competed at the 2014 U-20 FIFA Women’s World Cup where she helped lead her team to an appearance in the quarterfinals.  This wasn’t her first stint with the New Zealand National Team, having played for the U-17 team earlier in her career.

In high school, Jenson earned Sportswoman of the Year in 2013 and Greatest Achievement in Sport in 2012 and 2013.  A well-rounded athlete, Jensen earned back-to-back swimming championships in 2012 and 2013.
