RADFORD, Va. – UNC Greensboro men’s soccer (1-1) fell 4-3 in overtime to Radford (1-1) Labor Day night at Cupp Stadium. After the Spartans produced three first half goals, Highlanders scored four unanswered in the last 30 minutes for the victory.
Amadou Macky Diop recorded a hat trick with his golden goal in the 95th minute off a cross by Dondre Robinson, who forced a turnover by a Spartan defender.
Radford got its first two goals on headers from corner kicks. Diop had both, the first in the 65th minute and then in the 84th minute. Octavio Ocampo tied up the game in the next minute, launching a shot past UNCG’s goalkeeper from deep in the midfield.
Micah Albert notched the game’s first goal six minutes in. Albert Pedra dribbled through the midfield and then found a streaking Albert in the left side of the box, who put the shot left of the goalkeeper. Pedra then had a goal of his own in the 15th minute, burying a shot in between defenders atop the oval in the top left corner of the net. Albert recorded his second goal in the 32nd minute, scoring from the right side of the box after receiving a pass from Mylo Hall in the middle of the box.

-- Radford finished with a 12-1 corner kicks and 24-6 shots advantage. In the second half and overtime, the Highlanders had all nine corner kicks and a 17-2 shots advantage.
