GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNCG men’s soccer team continues its home stretch Saturday night as the Spartans welcome in Presbyterian to the UNCG Soccer Stadium. Game time is set for 7 p.m. and admission is FREE! The game will be streamed on the SoCon Digital Network with links available at www.uncgspartans.com.

The Spartans are coming off a tough 2-1 loss to No. 3 North Carolina Monday night. UNCG tied the game in the 81st minute against the Tar Heels when freshman Alex Henderson (Mount Pleasant, S.C./Wando) scored his first career goal. The Spartans had a chance in the 89th minute to tie, but freshman Sandro Bradara's (Stuttgart, Germany) header off a corner kick went just wide. The Spartans are 0-3-1 on the season, having dropped a pair of games to nationally ranked opponents.

UNCG, which has led the Southern Conference in scoring the past two years, has scored only two goals in four games. Bradara scored the Spartans' first goal of the year against High Point and Henderson added a goal against North Carolina from 30-yards out. Freshman midfielder Nelson Oceano (Berlin, Germany) has the team's lone assist. Junior goalkeeper Jon Milligan (Mount Pleasant, S.C./Wando) has played every minute in goal. Milligan owns a 1.42 goals against average and has posted 17 saves.

Saturday's game marks the second meeting all-time between UNCG and Presbyterian. The Spartans won the first meeting between the two teams last season, posting a 3-2 victory in Clinton, S.C. Former Spartan forward Damieon Thomas notched a hat trick, scoring all three goals for the Spartans, including the game-winning goal with 38.8 seconds remaining in regulation. Thomas also scored goals in the 35th and 51st minutes. Presbyterian rallied from a two-goal deficit to tie the game as Mason Lewis scored in the 70th minute and Sergio Pinto scored in the 76th minute.

Presbyterian enters Saturday's game with a 1-2-1 overall record and is coming off a double overtime 1-1 tie at Duke Tuesday. The Blue Hose have defeated USC Upstate 3-0 at home this year while dropping games at Davidson (2-1) and at Elon (2-0). Presbyterian has scored five goals in four games while allowing six goals against. Five different players have scored for PC in Clement Vannier, Andrew Miller-Bell, Sergio Pinto, Mathais Mikalsen and Victor Menudier. Connor Behrend has played every minute in goal for the Blue Hose and has a 1.42 goals against average with 16 saves.
