WALLACE, N.C. - UNC Greensboro women’s golf will return to the course this week when the Spartans participate in the River Landing Classic, which is taking place at River Landing’s River Couse. The first 36 holes will take place on Monday while the final 18 holes will take place on Tuesday.

A Glance At The Squad

UNCG began spring play by finishing tied for 13th place at the 2019 Kiawah Island Spring Classic. The Spartans were in the top-third of the 49-team tournament throughout play.

During the team’s fall play, the Spartans collected two top-five finishes. In the team’s home tournament – the Starmount Fall Classic – the Spartans finished in second place followed by a fourth place finish in the Pinehurst Challenge. In total, the Spartans finished in the top 10 of all five of their fall tournament appearances.

The Spartans will be represented in the River Landing Classic by freshman Hailey Joy, sophomores Keri Kenkel and Tara Bettle and seniors Lexi Kershaw and Natalia Asensio. Additionally, junior Kendall Dobbins will be participating as an individual.

UNCG Will Be Joined By…

UNCG will be one of 16 teams in the tournament, joined by Boston College, Campbell, Charlotte, ETSU, Georgetown, Georgia State, Marshall, Memphis, Middle Tennessee State, Penn State, Rutgers, Seton Hall, Winthrop and UNCW. Additionally, ECU will have individuals participating.
