GREENSBORO, N.C.- UNC Greensboro women’s golf head coach Janell Howland this week announced the signings of Anna Grace Brock and Anna Bowman to National Letters of Intent. They will join the team as freshmen during the 2019-20 season.
Brock will join the program after attending Emerald (S.C.) High School where she has earned all-state honors three times and has also been selected to the all-region team twice. She is a six-time Lakelands Golfer of the Year and was also named to the All-Lakeland Team for boy’s golf. Additionally, she holds the school’s girl’s golf nine-hole (31) and 18-hole records (69).
She is a five-time Medalist Award MVP for girl’s golf and earned Medalist Award MVP honors for boy’s golf as well. Brock is also a three-time women’s club champion at Greenwood Country Club in Greenwood, S.C.
“Excited for Anna Grace to join our family,” Howland said. “She brings a ton of tournament experience and she knows how to win. I’m looking forward to her joining us next year.”
Bowman, meanwhile, has attended Westfield (N.J.) High School where she’s earned four varsity letters. During her time with the Blue Devils, she’s earned Individual North Jersey Conference champion honors three times along with being a two-time all-state selection. Additionally, she’s a two-time NJSIAA Tournament of Champions qualifier, finishing in fifth and seventh place.
Bowman also tied for first place in the NJPGA Junior Championship and has finished in the top three in numerous tournaments including the NJPGA Junior Tour, US Challenge Cup Tour and the Hurricane Tour.
“We’re looking forward to Anna joining us in the fall,” Howland said. “She is such a joy to be around and a hard worker. She’ll be a great addition to our program.”
