UNC Greensboro Women’s Golf has realized their 2018-19 schedule, which includes two tournaments that will be hosted in Greensboro.
“We are really excited about the 2018-19 schedule,” said head coach Janell Howland. “We have a great mix of events. Some will be familiar as we have been to them for a few years now, and a few new ones have been added. We have the schedule set so that there will be some events that will challenge us, as well as some events that we can place very high. Having two home events gives us the opportunity to showcase the great golf courses that we are privileged to play here in Greensboro. I can't wait to get going and see what the ladies can do this year.”
The Spartans will open up the season by participating in the Ptarmigan Ram Fall Classic that will take place from Sept. 17-19 at the Ptarmigan Country Club in Fort Collins, Co., followed by the Starmount Fall Classic that will be held at Starmount Country Club in Greensboro. The next week, the Spartans will play in the Pinehurst Challenge in Pinehurst, N.C.
In late October, the Spartans will partake in the Palmetto Intercollegiate at Kiawah Island Resort in Kiawah Island, S.C.,
before closing out 2018 tournament play in the Idle Hour Collegiate in Macon, Ga.
The Spartans will return to the course in 2019 first playing in the Kiawah Island Classic in late February before participating in the River Landing Classic in Wallace, N.C.
From March 15-17, UNCG will make its longest trip of the year when they play in the Clover Cup at Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Az.
The Spartans will then join Wake Forest as co-hosts of Bryan National from March 29-31 at Bryan Park in Greensboro before participating in the SoCon Tournament from April 14-16 at Moss Creek in Hilton Head, S.C.
