2014 (Sophomore): Played in 30 games and earned 27 starts as one of two Spartan catchers … Hit .277 while also tallying 28 hits, 19 runs scored, two doubles, two home runs, nine RBI and 36 total bases … Ranked second on the squad with 192 putouts … Contributed eight double-digit hit efforts … Made just four errors in 217 defensive chances … Hit his first two collegiate home runs in back to back at bats in the series opener at Georgia Southern (April 11), leading the Spartans to a 6-2 victory … Notched three hits in contests against Georgetown (Feb. 28), North Carolina A&T (April 2) and at Georgia Southern … Racked up a season-high 13 putouts in the season opener at home against Duke (Feb. 18) … Produced double-digit putouts in four games. 


2013 (Freshman): Appeared in 19 games and made five starts at catcher … scored three runs and drove in four … recorded a season-high two hits as the starting catcher against Princeton (March 20) as UNCG downed the Tigers 9-7 … posted doubles in two contests – at Duke (April 9) and at Furman (May 11) … started the season finale against The Citadel (May 18), tallying a hit, a RBI and a stolen base.

High School: Played on the Southwestern Randolph varsity squad all four years of his prep career … earned all-conference and all-county accolades his junior and senior seasons … tied the North Carolina prep record for home runs in an inning with two bombs against Eastern Randolph last season … finished his senior campaign with a .484 batting average, .593 on base percentage and a 1.194 slugging percentage … ranked No. 1 in the state in 2012 (according to maxpreps.com) with 12 home runs … also played basketball and football for the Cougars … competed for Randolph Post County 45 from 2010-2013 under head coach Ronnie Pugh, helping the club to the 2012 Area III Northern Division title.
