Spots Available For Men’s Basketball Camps This Summer
GREENSBORO, N.C. – UNCG men's basketball program, under the direction of head coach Wes Miller, will host a variety of camps this summer. The Spartans will host nine different camps which will be conducted by UNCG basketball staff and players in Fleming Gymnasium.
The 2013 men's basketball camp program kicks off June 1 with a pair of shooting clinics, focusing on the fundamentals and mechanics of shooting, along with numerous drills to improve campers' jump shots. The first session runs from 9 a.m. to noon, while a second session will run from 1-4 p.m. for ages 7-18. Additionally, a final shooting clinic will be held July 29 from 1-4 p.m.
The post clinic will be held June 8 from 9 a.m. to noon for ages 7-18 and will focus on the fundamentals of playing inside the lane and around the basket.
The Spartans will host their team camp Saturday, June 15 for high school varsity teams. Teams will be guaranteed three games in the UNCG practice facility or Fleming Gymnasium, officiated by high school referees.
UNCG will host its first Day Camp session June 24-27 for ages 7-15. Each camp will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. that week for all skill levels and abilities. The second Day Camp session runs July 15-18 for rising seventh graders and younger.
A Mini Day Camp will be held July 20 from 9-11:30 a.m. for ages 4-7. Additionally, the Elite Camp will run June 19 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for rising 9th-12th graders.
