Spartan Storylines
•    The Spartans are making their first appearance in the semifinals since 2008, and their fifth appearance overall
•    In UNCG's previous semifinal appearances, the Spartans faced Davidson each time
•    UNCG is 13-13 all-time in SoCon Tournament play
•    UNCG is 3-1 against Western Carolina in the SoCon Tournament, including a 77-66 loss in the quarterfinals last season
•    UNCG is 16-23 all-time vs. Western Carolina, and the Catamounts have won eight of the last nine meetings overall
•    UNCG hasn't defeated WCU twice in the same season since the 2007-08 campaign
•    A win on Sunday puts the Spartans in the finals for the first time since 2005
•    Trevis Simpson enters Monday's semifinal with 526 points this season, which ranks seventh in UNCG history
•    Simpson grabbed a season-high nine rebounds in Saturday's win over Appalachian State
•    Simpson is on pace to become the first Spartan to lead the SoCon in scoring
•    Simpson needs five field goals to move into the UNCG season top 10
•    David Williams (49) and Derrell Armstrong (48) are on the verge of becoming the first UNCG teammates with 50 steals each since Ricky Hickman (77) and Kyle Hines (51) in 2005-06
•    UNCG's nine turnovers on Saturday against Appalachian State were its fewest in 11 games
•    The Spartan limited App State to 20.7 percent shooting in the second half on Saturday
