Grey Holds On To Lead At Fall World Series
GREENSBORO, N.C. – After day two of three at the UNCG Baseball Fall World Series, the Grey team continues to lead the Navy squad in points with Navy keeping within striking distance.
Junior infielder Aaron Wright (Asheville, N.C./Chattanooga State) had another solid day at the dish Friday for the Grey side, tallying a hit and two RBI. Sophomore catcher Jake Hall (Asheboro, N.C./Southwestern Randolph) added two hits in three at bats while freshman LHP Andrew George (Miami, Fla./Florida Christian) and freshman RHP Bryan White (Woodstock, Ga./Etowah) combined for seven strikeouts in five and one thirds innings pitched.
Sophomore RHP Ryan Clark (Johnson City, N.Y./Johnson City), a 2013 Southern Conference All-Freshman Team selection, went three and two thirds innings for the Navy team and did not allow an earned run. Junior outfielder Eric Kalbfleisch (Pilot Mountain, N.C./North Stokes) showed some speed on the bases with a triple in a 1-for-3 effort and redshirt sophomore infielder Ricky Guile (Lebanon, N.J./North Hunterdon) recorded a hit and a RBI.
The UNCG Baseball Fall World Series wraps up Saturday with game three at the UNCG Baseball Stadium. First pitch is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
