GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNCG volleyball team will add five student-athletes to its roster for the 2014 campaign, according to an announcement Thursday by head coach Corey Carlin.

Jones … Born May 24, 1996 in Arlington, Va. … Undecided on a potential major.

Coach Carlin on Jones: "Jasmine is a very physically gifted athlete. She has the physique to be an extremely dominant player at the net. Her natural quickness and jumping ability are already at an elite level so her goal will be learning how to better her fundamentals and apply her talents in the college game. Once she gains more experience on the court and adds polish to her skills, we expect her to be a major contributor for our program."

Coach Carlin on Romaniszyn: "Anna's greatest attributes coming in are her tireless work ethic and her ball control skills. She comes from a club program that trains its athletes very well and routinely produces players with high volleyball IQs. Her experience as both an outside hitter and libero gives her a unique skillset that allows for flexibility in playing multiple positions and will fit our brand extremely well."

Coach Carlin on Wagner: "Katie is fiercely competitive and one of the hardest working kids I've seen. Her club program does a tremendous job at training kids to be mentally tough, which will help her transition to the collegiate level very quickly. She has the skillset, athleticism and fortitude to become a strong contributor for our program early on and we're excited to see how far she can go."

Coach Carlin on Wells: "Leah is a great story. She is someone we heard about fairly late in the recruiting process but we are glad that we did. She is the consummate team player and an extremely humble kid that will do anything for the betterment of the team, but won't let anyone out work her in the gym. Even though she enters our program as a junior, having already played at the collegiate level and been the go-to player for her previous team, she understands that her role at UNCG will be different and she's ready to embrace that challenge."
