GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNCG volleyball team recently completed its spring season under newly-appointed head coach Corey Carlin, participating in three local tournaments that saw the Spartans produce a record of 6-4-1.

UNCG began its spring at Charlotte where the Blue and Gold picked up a pair of victories over the 49ers and split two matches with Winthrop. The Spartans then took part in the Davidson Tournament, sweeping Wingate and Georgia College before dropping a three-set decision to the host Wildcats. UNCG’s final spring event was held at the Greensboro SportsPlex where the Blue and Gold swept North Carolina A&T, split two sets with Elon and fell to Radford and Wingate.

The spring afforded UNCG the opportunity to work on fundamentals as well as begin to implement Carlin’s system the team will use when the fall competition season commences in August. The Spartans’ full fall schedule will be released later this month.
