Women's Tennis Heads to Roberta Alison Fall Classic

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNCG women’s tennis team will compete in the 26th Roberta Alison Fall Classic Friday, Nov. 1 through Sunday, Nov. 3 in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

17 teams will be participating in this year’s tournament including: Alabama, Clemson, Furman, Georgia State, Georgia Tech, LSU, Loyola Marymount, Michigan, MTSU, Mississippi State, Northwestern, Samford, Tennessee, Tulane, UAB and Vanderbilt.

The Spartans will be sending six players to the tournament in junior Stephanie Falcon (Marietta, Ga./Walton), sophomore Amy Ellis (Cheshire, Great Brittian/Newcastle Under Lyme School), sophomore Jamie Grinberg (Chapel Hill, N.C./East Chapel Hill), redshirt freshman Alisha Burton (Charlotte, N.C./Zebulon B. Vance), freshmen Yasmin Franco (Largo, Fla./Indian Rocks Christian) and Masey DeMoss (Mayodan, N.C./McMichael).

UNCG hopes to finish the fall campaign strong after playing in five tournaments to help the squad prepare for the 2014 spring season.
