GREENSBORO, N.C. – Incoming freshman Logan Walker (Stuart, Fla./Morningside Academy) has a signed a National Letter-of-Intent to play men’s tennis for UNCG next season, head coach Thomas Mozur announced Thursday.

"Logan will be a solid addition to our team next year,” said Mozur. “He has a well-rounded game that can develop under our system.  We look forward to getting Logan on campus.”

Walker, a three-star recruit according to tennisrecruiting.net, is ranked No. 42 in the state of Florida. In the southeast, Walker is ranked No. 95 and has played 31 matches against other recruits. He made the finals of the 2012 USTA Florida State Doubles championship.

The Stuart, Fla. native has a 2-2 record against five-star recruits and is 3-1 against two-start recruits. Walker joins international freshman Victor Marum (Oslo, Norway/Norwegian Elite) who signed earlier this week.

The Spartans are coming off back-to-back 14 win seasons, including a semifinal appearance in the Southern Conference tournament this past year dropping a tough 4-3 match to second-seeded Furman. UNCG also went undefeated at the UNCG tennis courts for the second year in a row.
