Menís Tennis to Compete at Wake Forest Invitational 10-10-2013
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNCG men’s tennis team will head to Winston-Salem to participate in the Wake Forest Invitational starting Friday, Oct. 11 through Sunday, Oct. 13 at the Wake Forest Tennis Complex.

“I am looking forward to watching my players compete this weekend,” head coach Thomas Mozur said.  “We have been training very hard and hope that the work carries over into some good results.  I told the guys this morning that I expected each of them to compete hard every point and focus all their energy on the task at hand and not to worry about the rest.”

The Spartans will be sending eight players to the invitational that includes seven returners and one newcomer. The two lone seniors on the squad are Ahmet Sarioglu (Ankara, Turkey/METU Development Foundation) and Jimmy Roueche (Greensboro, N.C./Grimsley).

The other returns are:  junior Randy Phillips (Snellville, Ga./Brookwood), junior Cameron Smith (Jamestown, N.C./Ragsdale), sophomore Gaston Murray (Lake Worth, Fla./Park Vista), sophomore Daniel Mack (Lakeland, Fla./Lakeland), sophomore James Flynn (Plantation, Fla./American Heritage).

Freshman Nazhone Wilkins (Burnsville, Minnesota/Home schooled) will be making his UNCG tennis debut during the Wake Forest Invitational this weekend.
