UNCG 11th after two rounds of Gary Koch Invitational
TAMPA, Fla. – UNCG is currently sitting in 11th place with a cumulative score of 601 after Saturday's first two rounds of the Gary Koch Invitational. Roy Dixon is leading the Spartans through 36 holes after an impressive 3-under par 69 in the second round.
Dixon has a cumulative score of 147 (78-69) and sits tied for 25th place.
Kyle Sonday played even golf in both rounds Saturday and is tied for 42nd with a total score of 150 (75-75). Will Almand is just one stroke back of Sonday at 151 (77-74) and is tied for 48th.
Alex Ehlert is tied for 57th place with 153 (76-77) and Robert Hoadley finished with 157 (78-79), tied for 68th.
North Florida, the 17th-ranked team in the country, currently leads second-place Georgia Tech by 14 strokes. The Ospreys shot an impressive team score of 559 through two rounds.
North Florida also currently has the three top individuals in the standings, but Joey Petronio is in sole possession of the top spot with a two-round score of 138. He's just one stroke ahead of his teammate Kevin Phelan.
The final round will get under way from Old Memorial Golf Club on Sunday at 7:35 a.m.
