Redshirt freshman Will Thomas (Raleigh, N.C./Green Hope) was the Spartans’ second finisher, posting a 12th place showing with a 14-over par 230. Thomas began the event with a 3-over par 75 before closing with a 76 and 79 in rounds two and three, respectively.

Junior Roy Dixon (Salisbury, N.C./Salisbury) finished 27th overall with a 234 and opened the event with back-to-back 3-over par 75s. Right before the New Year, McGlone and sophomore Luke Haithcock (Burlington, N.C./Williams) took part in the sixth-annual Carolinas Young Amateur at the Pinewood Golf Couse in Pinehurst. McGlone placed fifth overall in the 36-hole event, posting a 2-under par 142. He opened with a 1-over par 73 in round one before carding a 3-under par 69 in round two. His second round score of 69 was the fourth lowest round of the entire event.

Haithcock finished in 39th place overall with a 154 as he posted rounds of 81 and 73. Miller Capps of Clemson won the event with a 6-under par 138 (68-70).
