UNCG wraps up Hagan Stone XC Classic
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The UNCG men's cross country team finished in second place and Ali Cupito finished third overall as an individual for the women's team on Saturday at the Hagan Stone XC Classic.
Asher Hertzberg led the men's team with his sixth place finish in a time of 27:21.47. Teammate Dylan Belles was right on his heels in seventh place, while Eric Williams finished in 10th place.
Only three runners competed on the women's side and Cupito led the trio. Cupito's time of 19:47.38 was good enough for third place. Emily Vasquez and Jade Farlow both turned in top-20 performances as well after running times of 20:59.78 and 21:04.98, respectively.
The Spartans will return to competition on Saturday as they compete at the Wilbur Ross Invite in Winston-Salem.
