Senior (2017): Played in 13 games, tallying 11 RBI, two home runs, 12 runs scored and stole four bases before an injury forced him to miss the remainder of the season… Received a medical hardship preserving his senior year.
Junior (2016): Second Team All-Southern Conference… Started and played in all 59 games… Earned starts in left field, right field, first base and as the designated hitter… Hit for a .335 average… Led the team with 14 home runs, tied for fifth all-time… Scored a team-high 62 runs, tying for eighth all-time… Hit 19 doubles and four triples… .665 slugging percentage, good for fifth all time at UNCG… Drove in 62 runs, sixth all time… Connected on for 70 hits, and stole nine bases… Drew a team best 45 walks, fifth in school history… 20 multi-hit games and 18 multi-RBI contests… Had two games where he drove in five or more runs, and 12 where he drove in a pair… Reached base in a 25 straight games… Three base hits seven different games… Season-high six RBI against Georgetown, hit two home runs and scored twice (Mar. 24)… 3-for-4 with three doubles, two RBI and two runs scored against The Citadel (Apr. 10).
Sophomore (2015) (Brunswick CC): Played 44 games at Brunswick CC… Hit for a .370 average with three home runs… Drove in 28 runs and scored 32… Stole 10 bases… Hit 13 doubles, and had a pair of triples… Earned a .429 on base percentage after drawing 16 walks.
Freshman (2014) (UNCG): Played in 11 games as a Spartan in 2014, including four starts… Hit for a .211 average with a double and a home run… drove in four runs and scored twice… Recorded his first career hit against Georgetown (Mar. 1), an RBI single… First multi-hit game in the second game against The Citadel (May 17) finishing 2-for-3 with three RBI, a double, a home run and scored a run.
High School: Led the Hawks to a 19-9 overall record this season and an appearance in the second round of the 2013 North Carolina 3A state playoffs while batting .390 with three home runs, 19 stolen bases, an on base percentage of .460 and a fielding percentage of .960 … Hit .410 as a junior with two home runs and 25 stolen bases … As a sophomore, batted.375 with a pair of home runs while swiping 22 bases … Played with Jake Kusz for the Carolina Cubs this summer … Earned three letters and participated in the Region 4 State Games in 2011 and 2012 … Picked up all-conference honorable mention accolades for the 2011 campaign before racking up team MVP and all-conference laurels last season … Was also a Carolina Classic Scholastic Summer Baseball League participant the last two years, recently helping Triton to the South Division championship … As a member of the Cubs summer program, Stewart was named to the 2012 Perfect Game Wood Bat World Series All-Tournament Team.
