2013 (Junior): Appeared in 19 games and made 11 starts … started eight games at third base, two at shortstop and one at second base … best all-around effort occurred against The Citadel (May 17) as he was 3-for-4 with three runs scored to help the Spartans knock off the Bulldogs … showed off his speed on the base paths against Duke (May 14), legging out a triple before scoring a run … improved defensively as the season progressed, committing no errors in his final nine games.

Prior to UNCG: Played two seasons at Irvine Valley Community College as a third baseman … burst onto the scene his freshman season, batting a team third-best .327 and making 30 starts in 31 appearances … was among the team leaders in many categories as a rookie, tallying 37 hits, 15 RBI, 44 total bases, an on-base percentage of .394 and nine stolen bases in nine attempts … defensively, he paced the squad with 176 putouts at the hot corner while adding 26 assists (.967 fielding percentage) … exceled with a runner on third and less than two outs as he compiled an .800 hitting mark (12-for-15) … was able to hit .506 when having the chance to advance a runner (41-for-81) … batted .258 his sophomore season and racked up 31 hits while earning the team’s second-most at bats (120) … hit .536 (15-for-28) as leadoff batter. 

High School: Earned three varsity letters as an infielder … named Huntington Beach High School’s Athlete of the Year during the 2009-10 school year … was part of the baseball program’s first-ever appearance in a C.I.F. championship game in the school’s history of over 100 years … garnered first-team All-Sea View Leage honors and was named team MVP his senior season … tabbed as team’s best offensive player his sophomore campaign … also earned a pair of varsity letters in football, holding school records for the most passing yards in a career, most touchdown passes in a game and career, most passing completions in a game, season and career and longest passing touchdown in a game.

Guite … born June 17, 1992 … intended major is sociology … son of Phil and Julie Guite … Brother Randy played baseball at Georgetown University and set the school record for most hits in a season … Great Grandfather John H. Murrell was a multisport athlete at West Point Military Academy, most notably in football as the starting halfback in the “Win One for the Gipper” game against Notre Dame in 1928.
